Yez is an exclamation used to express praise or ecstasy. When you’re halfway through watching a live concert of your favorite band and you’ve already lost your voice, you say “yez” in your raspy voice while you wave your hands wildly in the air. When you’ve just finished watching the season finale of your favorite original series and you and your best friend are sitting side by side in disbelief with your mouths wide open, you turn to him or her and say “yez” before letting the season ending plot twist register in your mind.
